ABM, based in Texas and an IIS customer since 1998, is a leader in the manufacture of machines to produce comforters and pillow shams. Their Robo-Quilter is a great example of the power of good servo engineering. Previous comforter machines took up more than 600 square feet of floor space and required a dedicated operator. Working with ABM, we helped re-engineer their quilter so that it occupies only 70 square feet of space. And - the best news for cost-conscious ABM customers - a single operator can now run three of these machines because of servo controlled Auto-Racking and Pre-Loading systems. A typical Robo-Quilter pays for itself in less than a year from labor and floor space savings alone!
