Video Clips: ABM International, Inc. - Encloser Machine
Texas-based ABM has been an IIS customer since 1998, and is a worldwide leader in the manufacture of machines to produce comforters and pillow shams. Their new Encloser Machine is an excellent example of leading-edge motion control applied to a large, complex factory machine. The ABM Encloser closes off the final edge of a bed comforter, and includes functions such as label attachment, sewing, conveying and folding. The system is based on the new IIS Emerald Multi-Axis Motion Controller and takes advantage of the factory networking capabilities built into the controller.
