The Delta S Driver is based on the Delta Driver, with the addition of a SERCOS adapter, which allows the driver to interface to SERCOS Interface Master Controllers.

The EFC-240X (Encoder to Fiber-Optic Converter) is a DIN rail mounted assembly to be used with MSC-850, MSC-250, DeltaMax and DeltaPro Motion Control Systems. Power supplied to the EFC-240X is 24V DC. See section III on specifications.

The EFC-240X is connected to an encoder with IIS cable part number C-300YYY (see Figure 3). Encoder channel operation is verified by Red LEDs labeled; CH1, CH2, M (see Figure 3). There is a 16-position selector switch, near the three LEDs, to select the encoder line count (see Table 1). Fiber Optic cable, IIS part number C-966YYY (see Figure 3), links the EFC-240X to an MCF-850, MSC-250, DeltaMax or DeltaPro.


The RFC-240X Resolver to Fiber-Optic Converter) is a DIN rail mounted assembly to be used with MSC-850, MSC-250, DeltaMax and DeltaPro Motion Control Systems. Power supplied to the RFC-240X is 24V DC. See section III on specifications.

The RFC-240X is connected to an resolver with IIS cable part number C-200YYY (see Figure 4). Resolver operation is verified by Red LEDs labeled; MSB, LSB1, LSB0 (see Figure 2). There is a 16-position selector switch to select the resolver resolution (see Table 1.1). A Fiber Optic cable (see Figure 5), IIS part number C-966YYY (YYY is the cable length in feet) links the RFC-240X to an MCF-850, MSC-250, DeltaMax or DeltaPro.

The OPI-50 is an easy to use and easy to program operator interface device consisting of a keypad and 20 character by 4 line display. The unit has a built-in command code set which allows the user to program menus and messages and easily control the cursor and display.

The TSC-200 is a 2-axis slave linear servo drive controller that communicates as a slave device on the SERCOS Interface. TSC-200 is made up of a TSI-201 2-axis interface option card stacked on top of the SSE-100 SERCOS Slave Engine.

This operator's manual provides setup and operational information necessary to implement up to 2 axes of servo control with the TSC-200 connected to a SERCOS Compatible Master Controller.


The MSC family of Controllers can be interfaced to a host computer system using serial communications.


The DeltaMax Controller can be interfaced to a host computer system, such as a PC using COM1 or COM2, using RS232 serial communications.


The ACE-850 Encoder Axis Controller is an edge connector printed circuit board that can be plugged into one of the controller slots of the MSC-850 System Unit. It provides precision position loop control utilizing feedback data from the encoder on the motion control device.


This document shall describe the DeltaMax Multidrop Can-Bus Software and Hardware protocol.

DeltaMax communicates data over the CAN hardware interface as a slave device. The master device, typically a PC, can communicate with up to 63 DeltaMax controllers, data bandwidth limited at 125K, 250K, and 500K. The DeltaMax controller acknowledges all requests by a master.


The CTC-MSC Software Driver links the IIS MSC Family of motion controllers to Computer Technology Corporation's (CTC) Interact Software version 4.x and 5.x. This link allows the Interact software, which runs on an IBM PC or CTC Powerstation, to communicate directly with the MSC Family of motion controllers using RS232 port on both devices.
