Bill Schnaufer, President

Bill Schnaufer joined the IIS team in 1988 as a Test Engineer. He quickly climbed the ladder within the Engineering department and his promotions include Engineering Development, Application Support, Engineering Manager, VP Engineer and in 2007 became the current President/Owner along with Jon Cassano, Vice President. In 1989 Bill graduated RIT with an Electrical Engineering degree allowing his flare for math and physics to be part of his career.

Bill feels that IIS has been a place where he has able to grow over the years with the industry and staying on top of the next cutting-edge technology clearly shows in the success of IIS. Every project and application are unique and challenging based on customer’s needs. Bill creates a ‘team work’ atmosphere instilling commitment for quality products and personalized support.

His vision for the future sees this company growing steadily evolving new product designs incorporating cutting edge technology and modern production methods.

Jon Cassano, Vice President

Jon Cassano joined the IIS team in 1973. Instrumental in mechanical design, engineering and printed circuit board (PCB) development. Overseeing the manufacturing department including tech support, testing, panel shop and repairs led his promotion to manufacturing engineer position. In 2007 he became the current owner along with Bill Schnaufer, President. Jon’s RIT college background and mechanical interests led him down his engineering career path, it was a perfect fit and he has never looked back.

Jon feels the success of IIS over the years is down to ‘team work’ and being able to solve many different types of problems. Taking on challenging projects develops unique knowledge to support our customers and overcome engineering problems. By taking responsibility for the entire motion control system we provide Guaranteed System Performance.

His future vision is for IIS to be a self-sustaining entity providing a comfortable atmosphere that creates a phenomenal place to work at. With 40 plus years of producing dependable high-performance motion control systems, Jon strives for the IIS legacy to continue.

Industrial Indexing Systems, Inc. became one of the first companies in the world to develop and manufacture microprocessor-based motion control systems for industrial use. They are now in their fourth decade in the motion control business. Tempered with a pioneering spirit and years of experience, IIS continues to regularly introduce new products into the market. To accommodate the steady growth IIS enjoyed over the years, the facility has been expanded several times to its present 17,000 square foot capacity. This location houses all critical departments – Sales, Marketing, Applications Engineering, R&D, Production, Warehouse, Panel Shop, Quality Control and Customer Support. Having everything under one roof speeds communications and provides better service to their customers.
